New Entrance Signs Completed at Cape Cod National Seashore
News October 23, 2020Contact: Brian Carlstrom
WELLFLEET, Mass— Superintendent Brian Carlstrom has announced that the installation of three new entrance signs is complete. “These new signs at park headquarters and the two visitor centers are striking,” said Carlstrom. They meet our goal to establish a clear, consistent graphic identity.”The national seashore received cyclic replacement funding for the three main entrance signs to begin rolling out signs consistent with a road and trail master sign plan. The entrance signs meet the new National Park Service and Federal Highway standards.
Cape Cod National Seashore has 24 miles of paved roads, 8 miles of paved bike trails, and 16 public parking lots that all have regulation and information signs that the seashore owns and maintains. More signs will be updated as funding allows.
Sea Reach Ltd. of Sheridan, OR was contracted by the National Park Service’s Harpers Ferry Center to design, fabricate, and install the signs.
