Tantallon Castle is a medieval fortress located on the East Lothian coast of Scotland. It was built in the 14th century by the Red Douglas family and is considered one of the best-preserved late medieval castles in Scotland. The castle is a massive curtain-wall fortification with thick stone walls, two large towers, a courtyard, and a 300-foot-wide moat. Inside the walls are several storey-high apartments, chapel, and great hall.
